Annabelle King

Children's Author

Annabelle King found her first true love for books when she discovered Anne of Green Gables in her early teen years. She believes in the value of reading good stories from a young age and has had a special place in her heart for children’s literature ever since.

Falling in love with books...

Annabelle King was raised in a home that valued books. Like many homeschool families, their house overflowed with books of all sorts, from brightly colored picture books to old, thick classics with tiny print. Any books they didn’t have were made up for by weekly trips to the library.

But although she lived and breathed with books from a young age, it wasn’t until her early teen years that she fell in love with the books herself. During the summer of 2020 she found much more within their pages than mere entertainment. She found value.

Sprawled out in her yard in the heavy warmth of a Georgia summer, she met with books such as Little Women, A Wrinkle in Time, and Anne of Green Gables for the first time, and she has never looked at stories quite the same way since. They were books which opened her mind and revealed beauty in new ways.

She has fiddled around with stories of her own ever since, always guarding a special place in her heart for children’s literature. After all, it was chilren’s literature which first began her love of reading all of those years ago, and she wouldn’t be the same person today without it.
